Fixer updates Ukraine LGBT

Interview with a Ukrainian "fixer" — a trip planner & escort for foreign journalists who visit. How has LGBT life changed since the war? Gays are more visible in the armed forces as they joined for (a) national defense, and (b) the Russian rhetoric is more anti-gay. Still your domestic partner has no hospital visitation rights. 

The fixer tells the story of a gay prisoner-of-war captured in Russian-occupied territory. He was tortured & sexually assaulted, not to extract intelligence, but for the joy of making someone suffer. He was freed after two months when friendly forces liberated the prison.

The geopolitics are changing rapidly. The USA President is the most gay-friendly ever. Of course Ukraine President Zelensky once played piano with his penis. Europe is turning against Ukraine by purchasing Russian gas. Europe is turning against the LGBT as Christian countries become Muslim.

No gay roles for actual gays

Straight actor plays a gay role. The in-depth discussion reveals strange realities.  (A) Theater & Hollywood are full of gay people. Yet somehow only straight people can be found for gay roles. James Sutton is to be commended for not expressing contempt at gay men. (B) Nostalgia for the bad times of the past. The narrative is that gay life has improved since 2007 when John Paul kissed Craig. That's a false narrative. The gay & lesbian community (LG) now includes straight people (BTQ+). So straights have taken over gay spaces & diluted their gayness. Gay bars have disappeared since European countries became Muslim. Gay life is more dangerous than ever.
