Soft pillow of understanding 
Where you stick the landing
Your head tosses back
Your eyes start to roll
Open window to the soul
Relax your mind by feel
Emotions know what's real
You're a brick wall
When it comes to lust
You think you know it all

Stiletto of secrecy 
Truth is the bedfellow 
Blunt right out front 
That's not enough. Don't punt
Another chance is all we have
It's hard to be humble 
When you're in love like us
The messy flesh & meta-physical 
When the chemistry dies
We cross-dress into the after-life 

Open window of optimism 
We'll spend more time together 
Just listening. Throwing out kisses
Reassure the heart. Rest your mind
