Please Be There

Please Be There
Friday at the county fair
At the end of the road
Friend with a heavy load
I'll be stationed in a booth
Handing out literature & truth
Free of charge
I'll be looking around
From noon til sundown
Searching for your face
In a noisy faceless crowd
If I go to the Port-a-John
Oh I won't be long
In the summer heat
Talking to patrons
Thinking about us
Til closing after dark
In the parking lot
Waiting. Longing for you
All day I'll be dreaming away
Smelling farm animals
Hearing loud decibels
While you rest gently on my mind
I'll be easy to find
At the county fair
Please Be There.
