Hail fell from the sky
Lightning struck the air 
Gusty wind cheated fear
You tumbled from Heaven's gap
And landed square in my lap

The biggest rainbow you ever saw
The brightest sunshine in the raw
Grey clouds run away to hide
All we have left is pride
How nice we feel together 

Sometimes you're far away 
Somewhere alone & longing
My body remembers your touch
The heart ruminates your love
You are the nice weather 

Squalls of the mindset devastate
Until we find cause to celebrate 
On the regular. You in particular 
With all your peace & confidence 
You wash away all my reluctance.

You drove slowly through the old town already dark evening in the fall of 1988. You flashed your lights. I followed to a secluded spot.  I must have looked like a giant standing next to my little Datsun car so you could see me. You emerged from your muscle car. Petite dark & handsome. My type. Quite petite in command of such a big rig. We chatted. I was in the army. You were a local. Both young. I remember not being able to say things out loud. I wanted to but couldn't.
