Dating Amber - beware the adults

"Dating Amber" (2020) on Tubi. The grown-ups (parents, teachers, nuns) let down the young people. Your male teacher says he knows "exactly how you feel". You try to kiss the teacher. He is shocked....... because he's pretending to be blind to what's going on in the school all around him. 

For protection against out-in-the-open gay-taunting & gay-bashing at school, you (Eddie, a gay) & Amber (a lesbian) agree to fake a straight relationship until graduation. She meets a lesbian & falls in love. You join the army, hoping it will kill you. 

Amber stops you at the induction center. She gives you a box of money for travel to a mythical safe space for gays. You walk away from military service. You have no one & no place to go. This movie is profoundly homophobic & realistic.
