They didn't respect my wishes 
When I was alive
Why would they after I die?
Only one person gave me respect 
He's the only one I care about 

Sometimes he says things 
That hurt my feelings 
I get all quiet 
He looks me in the eye
Then the other one 
He turns on the charm
Better than any apology 
More sincere & true 
Epic romance wrecks my heart 
He's the only one I care about 

They never treated me
The way I treated them
They don't really even know me
Only one person listens to my heart 
He's the only one I care about 

Sometimes he's forgetful 
Always his love is meaningful 
The impractical gifts. Clothes don't fit
Hallmark cards in my style of writing 
Only one person knows who I am
HE'S THE ONLY ONE I care about.
