Beyond Description

My room is empty & messy
The bed is unmade & nasty
You just left me 
Elated beyond description 
Emotion with contradiction

The shower is warm & wet
The next date has been set
Your pantyhose is hanging to dry
Your memory is the first nearby 
Naked beyond explanation 

Your car has left my driveway 
Your body had lots to say 
I listened & tried to pay attention 
Confused as is my convention 
Also true like the force of a magnet

My apartment is still & quiet
It looks & smells like a pigsty 
Like a mostly peaceful riot 
Hours ago you left me 
Emotion with contradiction 

Afraid this might be the last time 
Like all the other times
Being wrong feels so good 
You left me in a strange way
Excited Beyond Description.
