Sunny sky turns grey
Breezes become gales
Waves come in swells
Darkness of the night 
Wide awake Emotions fight 
The one winning is Despair 
Until I Get There

Thunder is the sound of lightning 
To wonder out loud is frightening 
Will your heart survive?
Will it keep on beating?
The moment I arrive 
You know I'm not deceiving 
Fear drags you into a snare

Meanwhile tech is our friend 
The trend caught up to us old men 
Your phone is smart
I open up my heart
So on lonely nights like this
Maybe in the afternoon fresh air
My written words give a distant kiss
