Today it rained after a dry spell
I found Love at the well
The spring of inspiration
Your heart is my destination

Just now the gust was a gale
Lost breath I tried to inhale
Second look did a double-take
Your heart made a big mistake

But somehow no regret
Nothing to try to forget
We both knew it was wrong
Your heart fuels my love song

The sting of irrational flirtations
The buzz of accidental libations
Your body is uncharted territory
Your heart is my itinerary

Today the rain came in a downpour
The drought has ended with an uproar
Out comes the rainbow sun to shine
Your heart is forever mine.
