Every day I try to prove
I'm worthy of your love
Each emotion I subdue
Every poem I create
Every story I relate

Or we break up once more

Every love letter I write
Like this one in the middle of the night
Is it for you or for me?
To prove to myself
I'm worthy of your love

Every meme I conjure up
Mere words are not enough
Music must be heard by the heart
Lyrics are intended for the head
Together they try to convince
