If I could make you love me
I would. But I'm not that good
I can turn a frown into a smile
Reverse the flow of the River Nile
Force the clock to tick-tock backwards
Compel the rain to fall upwards
I can be in 2 places at once
Take a risk and a chance

If only I could make you love me

I can build the tallest tower
Fertilize the sweetest flower
Mesmerize the masses with truth
Tell a tall tale impossibly huge
Coax the heart to go pitter-patter
Convince the mind that you really matter

I can catch the biggest fish
Yet I have only one little wish

Or rip a wrinkle in reality
So powerful am I. But under scrutiny
Also foolish & somewhat puny

If I could make you love me
I would. I guess I can try again.
