The sun burns  Long walk back
Feelings hurt
The heart is heavy to bear
I called you from the beach
Like I said I would
You didn't answer

I left a message then called again
Sand blowing in my eyes
I think it was sand

I call the next day Same same
Hurt becomes worry
Doubt grows
Are you ghosting me?
Fear grows

60 hours later  Middle of the night
I'm nervous  You'll prolly call soon
Like nothing ever happened
I hope & pray you're okay
I thought I would go first
But who's to say
Long way back  Feelings hurt
The heart is ready to break
The sun burns.
