Never Thought


I never thought I would love so much
That I would need a blog
To tell you how I feel
Not enough hours in the day
To fully appreciate
The years of joy you've given me
When the memories visit
Passion I can't resist
Catharsis is my medicine
Write another poem
Too many to read
Too great to calculate
Me as a function of you
My love grows exponentially
You inspire my poetry
I never thought I would need a blog
To collect the poems I would write
Inspired by the man
I love in my heart
You know who you are.

You drove slowly through the old town already dark evening in the fall of 1988. You flashed your lights. I followed to a secluded spot.  I must have looked like a giant standing next to my little Datsun car so you could see me. You emerged from your muscle car. Petite dark & handsome. My type. Our gay love is a secret Paradoxically There are no secrets between us Not supposed to be The more fiercely hidden The more outrageous are The chances we take We've taken some big ones As if we want to get caught We do. Don't we?
